Bring healing and integration to your Birth
Birth is a profound event in a woman's life. Regardless of how it unfolds, it is a rite of passage nonetheless - an initiation into a new season of yourself, into the becoming of Mother, or Mother-again.
Having a traumatic birth can leave you entering Motherhood feeling insecure, anxious and disconnected from your intuitive Motherself, and it can impact how you more generally experience yourself as a woman including your connection to your body, your sexuality, your emotional health and your sense of self-worth.
If you feel you have not fully integrated your birth experience and hold feelings of grief, anxiety, anger and/or regret around your birth, it would be an honour to hold space for you.
Let's talk about trauma...
The word "trauma" can feel intimidating for many people.
For some, it can be tempting to dismiss or invalidate the impact of your experience, there could be a belief that your birth was not "bad enough" to be viewed as traumatic, perhaps there are feelings of shame around this word, or maybe a fear of getting trapped in a victim-mindset.
These are all common beliefs.
In a culture where many people feel uncomfortable to see, express or talk about emotions such as anger, guilt, rage, grief and depression, it is easy to absorb the idea that you should just "suck-it up and get-on-with-it"
Yet the truth is that trauma is a very real physiological, emotional, and spiritual experience that can have a big impact on your health and wellbeing.
And it is important to understand that...
Trauma is not about WHAT happened, it's about how YOU feel about it.
This is empowering because...
Although you can never change what happened. There is much that can be done to bring healing and integration to how you feel about it, and how the experience lives in your body.
